Empire larp Google calendar

It was nice to get all dates of the events in the mail. I was wondering if anyone had made or was considering making an Empire LRP google calendar; which could potentially include:

  • the main events
    *the booking deadlines
    *player events (that people are happy to share)

Could be an interesting thing but I have no idea how to use google calendar

There was one suggested on Discord but having checked it, it’s not been updated in a while.

http://Larp.me does have a page for Empire and it’s player events (https://larp.me/systems/empire/event) but again that relies on people updating it, it’s not updated by PD so it doesn’t have any events for 2019. Let me consult with @Aquarion who runs that page if you can a GCal feed just for one systems events.

My experience with calendars and events lists is that people are generally rubbish about updating them, which is why I add most of them myself to the player event list on here.

Not sure what the answer is to this honestly.

You can, kind of. If you log in to the site, you’ll get a link on https://larp.me/events/ to an ical of any events you’ve registered characters for.

I do need to add the events for this year, though if someone adds them as player events I can just edit them to be system ones…

I made a test version of the calendar. Could someone try and add it to their google account and then add the E2 event - if we can do both then it works :slight_smile:

Well I’ve added it and it works but I don’t know how to add E2 to it. I’ve looked around but I’m not complete sure what I’m looking for.

this is how i do it:

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. In the top left corner, click Create .
  3. Add a title to the event, and any event details.
  4. If you have multiple calendars, choose the calendar where you want to add the event from the “Calendar” dropdown menu.
  5. At the top of the page, click Save .

if i have done it correctly then it will add an event, and not ask me for permission- and then everyone can start adding empire player events that they want to publicise!
