Yes. Looks very Highguard. Good start. Nice little necklace thing.
As mentioned above, if you wanted a few more tweaks to that, a stole with a chapter symbol when/if you join a group, a simple belt pouch, maybe a shinier belt… all pretty cheap and easily acquirred.
Your house, however, looks dangerously organised for a LARPer
Looking good and, as Geoffrey said, distinctively Highguard.
I’ve been making costume for years and still get nervous before events including worries about what people will think of my kit. What actually happens is that everyone really wants the game to work, time in arrives and we all throw ourselves in. Once you get started, you won’t have time for kit worries
Key thing is being comfortable, dry and weather appropriate.
What you’ve got together is great for starting kit! I hope you come and have a fun event!
Looks perfectly in keeping with highguard to me!
Looks great. Very Highborn.
Good base. Later, you can add other accessories such as belt pouches, bells, song books…
I look forward to meeting you in a field.
As I said before we are our own worst critics, I think what you have looks great! Even more so with such a short amount of time. All you need is a cloak for the evenings to keep you warm. And they are pretty simple to make.
Definitely fine. Says Highborn to me
I’ve got no idea why you said it looked horrific. That kit is perfectly Highborn.
Sure, there are people on the field who have had the time, materials and wizard like skills to create some truly stunning trims, group iconography and suchlike but to add to the chorus, this isn’t remotely what I’d consider “minimum level of kit”
This is very firmly in “solid and clear highborn” level of kit in my mind.
In no way should you feel nervous about going IC in that kit.
