++Fourth of July Patch Notes++

We’ve just made a couple of minor rules changes. They’ll probably be rounded up when the boss does his rules roundup e-mail, but I’m stuck in a meeting where the words “pro rata” are being used and I need a distraction so I thought I’d tell you what we’ve changed

Rules change! It’s a small one but relevant. We’ve changed the minimum phys-reps required for robe and vestment magic items, as you can see here (https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Magic_items#Armour).

The change is that rather than having to achieve a certain level of coverage like you do with armour (light, medium, heavy, or mage), you need to provide a phys-rep of an item of clothing worn on the body - such as a belt, sash, jacket, coat, or robe.

Everything else still stays the same - you still need to bond to the item, it still occupies your “armour chakra” and you still need to have the magician or dedicate skill respectively.

We’ve not precisely made a change to the right of witness (https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Member_of_the_Synod#Witness) so much as been a bit clearer about where it can’t be used.

We’ve also patched up a hole in Writ of Excommunication (https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Writ_of_Excommunication#Removal_.28Acceptance.29) detailing what some of you already know - how to remove writ of excommunication (sometimes called a judgement of acceptance).

Oh and we’ve made a note about rewarding (https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Rewarding) to make it work like the money we give senators - the money from this judgement goes to the priest who raises it to distribute - it’s not up the tribunes to chase them down.

We’ve just this second reached an agreement on one of the glaring flaws in the ability to change one of your rituals after each event you attend (https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Wiki_Updates#Exchanging_Mastered_Rituals). Specifically, you can now exchange a ritual for a ritual that is not in Imperial Lore, as long as you can provably demonstrate you can access the ritual text.

We’ve also made a few minor tweaks here and there to a few rituals mostly about things we didn’t know the game was going to have in it when we wrote the rituals.

We’ve made a change to great works (https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Great_work#Limitations) specifically to clean them up a little - the only real change is that there is a restriction on what production you can add to any given resource, and what materials you need, without a suitable opportunity.

As you may already have seen, there’s also been a bit of an overhaul of the lineage page (https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Lineage) which mostly consisted of moving a few things from off the FAQ to where people could read them. Perhaps the most significant thing we’ve moved to the main page (where it should have been from the beginning, I admit) is that you need to have a physical trapping to be lineaged.

That’s everything for now, I think. We’re anticipating Winds of War before the weekend, having run all the numbers at the weekend, and then Winds of Fortune hopefully shortly afterward.
