A couple of Highborn magisters visit Skarsind

So my character and his partner are visiting Skarsind on pilgrimage this downtime, and I thought it might be cool if we could get a few snippets provided by players in Wintermark as to what sorts of sights there are, what kinds of stories might be heard, who might be encountered, and so forth, while voyaging around Skarsind seeking tales of Britta’s upbringing and life before Empress.

These needn’t involve any PCs at all - though being able to say “oh yes, and we met during the season” would potentially be a neat thing (if slightly awkward to arrange). It’s entirely a flavour thing, and it would be especially cool to get some flavour from people’s group backgrounds and home areas and so forth, if applicable.

It needn’t be anything very complex, even just a few bullet points would be awesome, though if anyone feels like producing a bit of fluff text that would also be cool. I’m keen on getting some “authentic” flavour as it were!

One of the villages you travel through can hardly be called such. Tents and makeshift buildings have been set up as carpentry is in full swing. Beams and wooden panels are being attached to wooden frames as a new Great Hall is being built around what looks to be the burned remains of an old one.

On asking of the name of the town, you get different answers. Occasionally you hear the name “Torstein”, with a heavy sigh, but from those building you hear a different name. With a proud smirk and occasionally a laugh, as they heave the beams into place, a name is offered:
