Bird Totems

Do any birds represent any of the virtues, or is there no defined place in each? Has it ever been discussed?

I know that bears seem to represent Strength etc. but I’ve been wondering what would represent each of the Virtues, or what people think is representative. I know Varushka have some of their animals defined but none are birds.

Birds are often used as symbols of the virtues in Wintermark. The raven symbolises Wisdom, the goose and the jay both symbolise Vigilance, the eagle, heron and swan all symbolise Pride, jackdaws often symbolise Courage, magpies symbolise Prosperity, hawks and falcons symbolise Loyalty, and the rook symbolises Ambition.

So, of the 7 virtues 5 of them are symbolised by members of the Crow family, and yet the Crow itself isn’t listed. That does seem odd.
