Evening all. On the cusp of purchasing my first ticket to empire this evening after two solid weeks of absorbing content wherever I can.
I’ve all but settled on being a bravo in the league and might even go about setting up my own free company. I’d love to hear some examples of Bravo behaviour you have seen or been a part of which has created game for everyone. I love the flavour text on the wiki but I’m a little worried that some bravo behaviour can be a little antisocial. How do people usually take these situations IC and OC and what are some tips to make them less annoying and more positive (even if they are annoying)
I’ll use the wiki example: a band of bravos from a free company find out where a bunch of dawnish like to drink and take their spaces trying to goad them into action.
Good timing on buying a ticket now, well in advance. Hope you’ve managed to get a new player concession from an experienced player to take the edge off the price.
I play in Dawn, and what has made interactions with bravos fun (and good game) has been interesting misunderstandings.
We had, some years back, a bouncy bravo who asked my Earl for his childs hand in marriage. Eventually. Badly. After misunderstanding the Dawnish rules on this repeatedly, and earning himself no sympathy. He was then challenged to demonstrate his courage in the Glory Square, against my Earl, with a choice of weapons. My Earl soundly thrashed him about 4 or 5 times, with identical weaponry each time (I was putting this bravo back together, as the healer). He was eventually sent on his way, his suit refused, but with us raising a cheer to his boldness and courage. Because despite a bad start, he was prepared to keep going and keep getting back up again…
I suspect better examples of Bravos being themselves will be along shortly…
