I have a bunch of old costume from a Robin Hood play my theatre company staged years ago; none of it fits me so I’d like to sell it at E4.
I’m still very new to Empire, E4 will be my second event, so being extremely light in the purse, I’d prefer to sell the clothing in character, for in game currency. I’ve no idea how much is reasonable to charge though, and I’d value your opinions.
I’m not particularly interested in trying to match the real world value of the costumes, really just looking for a fair and achievable in game price. I’ve attached photos of the costume pieces.
Since my character, Dachs, is a mercenary soldier, I plan to sell the clothes around camp from a peddler’s cart I’ve built, flogging them as the spoils of war I’ve claimed on campaign. At the very least it should be an entertaining way to spend a few hours on Saturday afternoon!
I suspect that IC they would sell in the crowns range, with the doublet going a bit higher.
Are they items that in other circumstances you would be happy to part with for a pint. If so, then it might be fun to see what you can get for them IC.
One of the clothing traders, Das Shoppe, buys second hand clothing for IC coin so you could also ask there.
Fab, thank you. Yep, definitely more in it for the RP and a bit of beer money rather than recouping any investment in the costume. I’ll circle round to Das Shoppe with whatever doesn’t sell from the cart
Additionally, you may wish to drop by Traders Row in Dawn, where I have seen one House selling various items of IC clothing for IC money. They may be able to help you build a frame of reference…
