Hello everyone
I’m putting together my soft kit for my Dawnish Questing Knight.
I was going to go down the cassock route.
However I found this online:
If I added some flowery embroidery to the cuffs, collar and base. Then added my belt and some other bling/flowers, do you think this would work?
This reads a lot more Urizen to me than Dawn (mostly as I know it’s the bulk of a lot of the fast base kit that folks use)
Colour of it is fantastic for Dawn, but the cut isn’t as much.
If you’re looking Dawn base/aspirations, I’d recommend looking at the more Ren Fayre inspired kit
(Wording is wonky, I apologise)

So a cassock (which is what they suggest on the wiki) with similar colouring and embroidery is better?
By itself, yes, it’s a bit plain for Dawn, but it’s an excellent base - it’s long, with clean flowing lines, lush fabric and a rich jewel colour. With some more decoration and a long belt you’ve got a perfectly good Dawnish look. If you then want to upgrade, consider some or all of headgear (hood/circlet/flower crown), a surcoat, an over-tunic, robe or cassock, a chain-of-office, plenty of jewellery.
