XD. Shame we had to lose Zenith and Morrow though. Wasn’t that where all the big halls and spires were?
I mean all areas had big spires, it just depends what you’re interested in.
And hile technically we haven’t lost Morrow, we did lose the Halls of Knowledge which is rather a big blow to Urizen
I’ve only just noticed this thread!
Yes, anyone interested in the Empire economics is welcome to come talk to me and I can give them a fun rundown of how your senators currently spend your tax money!
Alternatively, if you are in the League, come run against me - the auction for the position is next event, and you get to stand on the Senate floor and pontificate (briefly!) and access to lovely, lovely figures…
Do PCs currently have to pay taxes or do we just tax NPCs and use that as an excuse for Profoud Decisions to give the government cash?
Taxes are done below the abstraction layer, so what you get in your pack is the net profit, after tax (like PAYE), so no-one in the civil service is going to demand taxes form your directly. What your group , assembly, conclave order, child sweet seller may demand is entirely different!

" To these citizens we will guarantee dignity, freedom, and prosperity. Each citizen that owns land or property will tithe annually wealth equal to a single crown to be used in service of the Empire that protects them."
Know your rights, citizen
CharlieP is right that taxation is paid before you get your pack, so no-one has to pay attention to it unless they want to. But it worth noting that as a citizen you have paid your taxes and you deserve your dignity, freedom and prosperity!
Do I get an annual tax summary of how much tax I’ve paid and how it’s been spent?
Only the Master of the Mint gets that. (Currently me, but position up for re-election next event)
Well you’ve paid a crown.
How it’s been spent requires you to pester your Senator to pay attention in senate / pester the Master of the Mint, depending on length of service.
