Facepaint- Avoiding accidental RPing cues

So context: I am a Kohan in the BC and its cultural for Kohan to paint their face before battle. But I’ve been struggling for ideas for designs so I was thinking of including my Family’s logo.

So essentially would people confuse me with an eternal or something I’m not supposed to be if I paint a dragon eye on my forehead/?

Its a cool logo and I want to rep the Family but i know some faicepaint can indicate lineages such as scales (naga), dark shadowy eyes (draughir). But I’m worried that something like a forehead eye might be something found on eternals or other creatures as im no tthe most familliar with the lore.

Any replies greatly appreciated
-Thanks

I would say that it’s context based. If your kit is bang on brief, cannot be confused with anything else (and especially if you are wearing other bits of face/body paint that clearly isn’t lineage/eternal) then I reckon it’ll look like your family emblem and that’s cool.

If your kit is a bit more ambiguous that may in turn make the eye seem more possible to be something other than some Kohan war makeup.

Another option could be to put it on your cheek instead of forehead? I reckon that might make it clearer that it isn’t a third eye?

I’m not aware of any Lineage that has that in the ways they can be phys-repped. And Heralds usually appear as high lineaged humans, bar the occasional giant crab man. If you want to double check look at the trappings section of each of the Lineage pages.

So you should be fine I think. And if you’re still worried drop an email to rules@profounddecisions.co.uk they’ll give you a definitive answer.

Eyes should be ok as Mark said, i cant think of anything relevant that isnt also warpaint, and as Laura said context is key, if you havent used any prosthetics on the application and its done with paint rather than some other method, Occam’s razor generally applies
