Hey all! Its me again, come to bother the best nation.
So, for a new piece of kit which will be worn on the field at E1, i was going to have a poncho-esque thing with the fabric on top and basically a faux fur blanket on the bottom. My OC reason for doing this is the obvious “It’s cold as shit at E1” but i was going to flavour it as Baalam killed a slaver in Rachensgrab who dealt primarily in Furs and has some left over.
Is this too off brief?
Well I’m sure that the kind of fur topped cloaks of the Night Watch in GoT were included as good examples of Highguard gear in the original costume briefings for Empire and I think that still holds up. Unconquered being practical and hard wearing in their gear and no one likes to freeze. I think as long as you hit the colour scheme for HG you should be ok. If you’ve got a picture of the kind of thing you’re thinking of that would help people give more of a yes or no 
What you’re describing sounds rather like a chasuble with a deep fur trim and/or lining, which fits fine with my mental image of Highborn. Particularly if you go for black or near/off-white fur to reinforce the look-and-feel.
