Hello and welcome to Empire, this forum is here for you if you’ve never played Empire before or any LRP games at all. Please ask us any questions you’ve got about Empire and LRP in general. Some good places to start are:

An Introduction to LRP
Game Overview
You can start reading about the Nations of the Empire here
and here is a good place to start learning about the rules and how to play the game

We know the wiki can be a bit daunting and we’re working on making it a bit friendlier but in the meantime if you can’t find what you’re looking for ask here and we’ll help.

Empire New Player Team

This is Sam, Clare, Liam and Matt whose job it is to look after all new players at Empire, make sure you’re having a good time and make sure you get integrated into your chosen nation right from the start. They’ll be answering questions on here but you can also contact them directly via new.player@profounddecisions.co.uk if you need to.

Just expanding slightly on what Mark said:

Hey hey new players! A page you might find useful to take a look at is the page on characters which lays out the basics of what a character is, how you make one, and how you gain new skills.

There’s also an FAQ page aimed at frequently asked new player questions.

One of our players, Holly Gee, has made a fantastic video as an introduction to Empire which is well worth a watch if you haven’t already.

Its also worth doing a quick search of this forum before starting a new thread as a lot of the same questions come up and you may be able to find your answer easier this way.
