How to make a god

I want to specialise in religious thinking too. The thing about being a priest character is that it’s less about the skills and more about the Way. I think that all the Virtues ultimately point in the same direction. For example, the Virtues of Pride and Loyalty. The Pride teaches individuals to value their own independence for what it is, telling them to not compromise their individuality for the sake of the whole. But at the same time it also encourages them to do something for them to have pride in themselves for. Loyalty, on the other hand, is taking pride and transferring it onto somebody else, the idea of defending another person as much or more reverently than yourself because you are able to recognise the aspects which you are proud of in yourself in them. This suggests that the Way involves not only being a able to recognise the importance of your own individuality but also being able to value and respect others for theirs. Both Loyalty and Pride suggest exclusivity, however. Loyalty is given to those who deserve it and you can only be proud of yourself if there is a reason for it. Perhaps Wisdom, and it’s application according to the other virtues, is a means of deciding this exclusivity. But nevertheless, pride suggests that there is something worthy about an individual simply because they are an individual, and that therefore a truly Virtuous chump will not take their worth for granted, but will still be able to find the worth in others.
