THE SENATE:
Cei Windstrider, Senator for Hercynia Winter 376 YE - Summer 377YE
Winter 376YE -
The first senator of Hercynia following the death of Britta. Took charge of the nation and acted as a driving force in those first few days to organise the nation and pull together the disperate members into something biiger than themselves. He was also instrumental in the senates ‘winter of rage’, a response to the then cardinal of vigilence ordering a sanctification of vigilence being placed on the senate building. This led to honesty and senator fighting no matter what for what they belived in. One senator was heard to say ‘Hows the senate suposed to function like this?’
During his time as senator he always took the battlefield.
Rhain, Bloody Trees, Perpetual Vigilence, Duskborne ex-Foxden ex-Winters Vigil, Senator for Hercynia Summer 377YE - Present

Had a Cider named after him. Apprently it was bitter and left you with a headache.

Winter 377YE -Re-elected with the speech ‘You know who I am and you know what I have done’
Working with the outgoing Orc conscience of the Senate Gralka gained, for the first time since it’s formation, the Orc Nation it’s own national synod assembly by a unaminous vote.
Created with the help of Carr Foxden and Ulric Y’basden the Brands council to enable better communication and empower Brands to allow smother running of the Navarr nation.
Following in the tradition of the Navarrs previous addition of sanctury to the law, worked closely with the Magistrates and senior milita officers to create Legal advocates sworn in to the magistrates to advise those under investigation for crimes of their legal rights and responsibilites in an atempt to reduce the chance of injustice and lessen the amount of time spent explaining the legal process during an investigation.
Recorded part of imperial record that the speaker of the senate owes him a pint, confirmed in a seconded senate session.
Inducted into the Imperial Order of Courage for his actions as part of the Navarr scout group in Autumn 377YE in the battle Skarsind.

Bledri Eternal, Senator for Miaren Winter 376 YE - Summer 377YE
When he stood for election at the Winter Solstice of 376YE he and the other candidates were asked to state in 10 words what they inteded to do within the position of senator. While other candidates spoke candidly on their stances Bledri took the request at it’s face value. “I will serve the will of the people” He counted on his fingers to eight. “Very well” He concluded, cementing himself as a man of few words, but the words he used were always practical and well chosen.
During his time as senator he represented not only the people of Miaren, but the people of the lost territories in a frank and open manner, often personally delivering news from the senate to the steadings and stridings that would be effected.
Rhys Eternal, Senator for Miaren Summer 377YE - Present
“I am not a bombastic individual” Rhys had honestly told the people of Miaren when he stood for senator. But he elaborated on the type of person he was, someone who had dedicated his life to the study of Day magics. He explained that he likes truth and facts and that he would throw the exact same dedication that he had put into being a Vate into being a senator.
Caerwyn Summercrow, Senator for Therunin Winter 376YE - Present
Caerwyn has stood as a senator of Navarr since the fall of Empress Britta, she has tirelessly served the nation and has always been approachable to the people she represents. She often makes addresses at standings, ensuring that the nation is kept appraised of important situations.
Was the pursued for marriage by a fellow senator from the Urzien by the name of Hector. unusually he proposed without getting to know her. He had rather large horns.
Has the best hat in the Navarr for which she earned the name ‘Silly Hat’ from the Winters-Vigil who give names as honors.
GENERALS:
Connaught “The Lion of Hercynia” Thorntarry - Winter 376YE
Despite his short time as a General nobody can fault The Lion’s courage. During a skirmish in 376YE Connaught returned to the fray to rescue a Guide, he shouted for men to follow him, leapt into a ditch and was followed by others without question. His bravery lead to his being put forward for a True Liao vision by the Guide he had rescued, The Tystwarden, Meurig, then serving at Gatekeeper of Pride. Comended for his courage at standing by Rhain Winters Vigil
His dislike of orcs is well known. Following the death of his brethren Harrow Thorntarry it is said he went beserk and felled a total of 17 Orcs in vengence. His skill at cutting down Orcs has served him well in his courtship of Lady Anastasia who demanded to be presented with 100 Orc heads on a silver platter, a number he reached within three summits.
Inducted into the Imperial Order of Courage for his actions as part of the Navarr scout group in Autumn 377YE in the battle Skarsind.
Cerrunos of the Black Thorns Winter 376YE - Winter 377 YE
I must be careful in my appraisal of the Black Thorns’ general. If rumours and flyers are to believed he is a werewolf and I would not wish to anger such a fearsome creature.
Kale Winters Vigil of the Quiet Step Winter 376YE - Autumn 377YE
…
Gwai ‘What’s the first rule?’ Summercrow of the Quiet Step Autumn 377YE - Present
…
Carr of the Black Thorns Winter 377 YE - Present
Winter 377YE- Made General whilst undergoing open heart surgery in the field, identified his adijunct by smearing his own heart blood on his chosen man and ten minutes later he was in the generals meeting apologising for his tardiness.

SYNOD:
Beorn Y’Basden, Cardinal of Courage Winter 376YE
…
Meurig Tystwarden, Gatekeeper of Pride Winter 376YE - Present
Not an Orc.
Tockryn Nighthaven, Cardinal of Wisdom Winter 376YE - Summer 377YE
‘Has the energy of a Briar’ was once said of this man. As Cardinal of Wisdom he never stopped moving to the point where some people in the Navarr camp didn’t actually believe he existed, that he was some legendary figure of energy and drive known as ‘The Tock’. Tockryn was instrumental in the calming of the now infamous ‘winter of rage’ incident before the Synod and the Senate went to political war with each other. His soft but firm style of spiritual leadership combined with a practical application of spiritual advice has led Tock to be well loved and respected within the nation and further afield.
Hywel Summercrow, Gatekeeper of Wisdom Summer 377YE - Present
A deeply spiritual man who’s advice is as measured as it is wise. Of all the Navarr guides it is Hywel who is first to step forwards to remind the national assembley that the virtues are not a political tool and that they should consider their motivations before acting. His mastery of the Llama game is also reknowned through all of Therunin.
CONCLAVE:
Muir Pathfinder, Grandmaster of The Rod and Shield Winter 376YE - Present
Muir has worked closely with his Order ever since the fall of Empress Britta, welcoming not only mages of a more martial bent but also healers, scryers and even artisans, understanding their strengths when it comes to planning and undertaking battles. His mixture of competence and a friendly demeanour has both secured his place as Grandmaster and seen the Order of the Rod and Shield grow from a middling size amongst the Orders in 376YE to safely the largest order as we approach 378YE, boasting two archmages and the warmage among its ranks.
It is little wonder that Muir has excelled in his role, beyond his knowledge of magic he is also a courageous fighter and once took to the battlefield with a broken leg to ensure his coven could complete a ritual that would help the Imperial citizens entering the fray.
Tavan Pathfinder, Warmage Winter 376YE
Though his time as Warmage was short Tavan threw himself at the task with enthusiasm and skill. Beyond his considerable ability as a warrior he also immediately put to use his knowledge of magics, both rituals and hearth magic. At his request The Eternal Family coven perfromed a scrying ritual, ‘The Eye of the High Places’ on Karsk while in the regio in Anvil. At the same time the Egregore of Varushka empowered one of his people to use his gift to be able to see through the eyes of the Varushkans in Karsk. The Navarri ritual and the Varushkan hearth magic fed off of one another enabling a clearer view of the magics in the territory, a feat that would not have come to pass without the prompting and assistance of Warmage Tavan Pathfinder.
THE BOURSE:
Idris Eternal, The Thimble “Only Navarr in The Bourse” Winter 376YE - Present
It was the first mass gathering of the Navarr since the Empress was slain. We hadn’t had any such gatherings of such magnitude in living memory and we were all a little disorganised.
The civil Service was in disarray - not only had the scribes inks frozen in the -16c temperatures, but moving about Anvil was difficult due to the daily rains that had turned the clay based soil to mud. Clearly the stories of Anvil having pavements of stone were a little exagerated. Still the grand magistrate was on the scene, having cart loads of wood shavings brought in to soak up the excess water that ran freely from the ground.
The ‘time of turmoil’ as it has become to be known, resulted in all of the Bourse positions becoming available again - either because they were generally available to be revoted for, or people going into hiding, or people dying.
Whatever the case, the Navarr camp was full of brokers meeting brokers, apothecaries meeting apothecaries and brands meeting brands. Some of the brands had voiced an interest in putting in a bid for the now vacant Bourse positions. A man named ‘Three Rings’ was running around collecting the loose change in the hopes of getting sufficient money together to make it worthwhile. In the meantime, I had set my sights on a different position - the national Bourse position. Held only by the person with the most votes from herb garden owners it was a sure bet that it would go to the navarr, because it couldn’t go to anyone else.
Slowly over the freezing cold festival, I walked around the camps, meeting people, discussing the position, and what it would mean for the people who put their voices (and their votes) behind me. Offering only the weirwood that the postion afforded I met those that would later become more influential within the Navarr.
Naturally, whilst going around, I found a great number of people with herb gardens, and I took their details, and the specific potions they could do. As someone who doesn’t really take the battlefield, I’ve found my time better spent learning potions that are needed to keep everyone else alive. The number of herb gardens I found though, where the owner knew no potions at all - it was surely the weirdest thing I have ever come across.
There was one group, where nobody could use the resource they had, instead having to hand it to someone else in their group. Imagine having a forest, but not being able to use the Dragonbone it created?! Madness.
Eventually though, I had enough people I could quickly call upon to get votes in. Duskborne, Thorntarrys, Nighthaven, Pathfinders, Summercrows, Brackensong and The Eternal Family. It meant a lot of the weirwood I would be getting wouldn’t go to me, but I moved everyone to the Senate building to cast their votes.
I don’t know whether everyone who entered voted for me, only that I made them aware of it. It’s only pragmatic to be paranoid.
It took a full day for the Civil Service to tally the votes. I was relatively sure I was the only one running, and further to that, regardless of whether another name was running, I was going to win. Ambition leads to prosperity - and it should never be underestimated.
Well, having taken the post I wandered back into camp. We hadn’t won any of the other seats and there was a standing occuring. I stood around listening and mentioned to a Summercrow that I had got the seat. She was happy, but then firmly told me to enter the center and declare it.
My goodness, my nerves were terrible at that point. It felt like butterflies in my stomache and the adrenaline of being chased by a Vallorn. Still, I entered that circle, and I shouted, “My name is Idris Eternal, and I’m the only Navarr on the Bourse!”. Much hollering and cheering occured, but I was so thankful to leave the staring eyes of possibly the largest group of Navarr I’ve ever been in the company of. Brokering is done on a one to one basis, not to large groups of people. This position is no different. As soon as you tell a group of people you have something they want, well they all start wanting it from you! Also, the number of people who suddenly feel entitled to the weirwood because its a national position. Utterly shocking.
Still, as I write this I’m starting my second term as a member of the Bourse. I’ve made friends in other camps to get other resources. Bargains have been struck, artifacts have been seen and gardens have been lost due to unfortunate losses on the battlefield.
I hope this little slice of history stands the tests of time.
Idris Eternal of The Eternal Family.
THE MILITIA:
Faelan Stormstride Foxden
Before the fall of Empress Britta Faelen was a member of the Imperial army, attached to the Empress’ personal detachment of Navarr messengers, hunters and scouts. In the seasons that have followed the tragedy he has continued his work as a scout and undertaken the mantle of a militiaman to better serve the people of Anvil.
The fall of Sophia Foxden told by Faelan Foxden her fiancee
When I joined foxden i fell in love with my fiancee Sophia Foxden. She was a thorn whose courage was beyond question. Her kindness and pattience with another child of the den was remarkable and we lived together through our pubity. We fell in love over time and became one. Strong and fast we would tread the rods running with great joy and frivolity in love hopelessly and utterly in love. Sneaking off to the hot springs north of our steading. We’d spend all our time together We were one. I wasn’t the diplomat she was. She made me a better person. But at 17 i went to Illystel our leader of our steading and asked her permission for marriage to Sophia. She agreed. So i travelled over a hundred miles and back to get her a ring worthy of her beauty. It was two months bfore the solstice when i returned. A group of highguard asked us as a steading to scout ahead for them to the end of hycinea. We ran ahead to check the route was clear before we took them down the path.
We turned back and withdrew to the foxden. But two miles from home we discovered a small ten orc horde and thought we would easily take them out and protect the foxden. We went in and killed the ten of them, we wished to check the bodies and make sure they were dead. it was then we realised we were in trouble. sixty orcs. all over the brow of the hill, we were at the foot of the mountain and so began climbing quickly up to the top of the mountain withdrawing firing our arrows into the orcs. She told me to blow the horn to call for help. But i said this wasn’t serious enough. But soon as we began to run low on arrows we looked at each other and both blew our horns. We reached the peak and blew our horns wildly for help. We drew our close quatre weapons, her hand and a half sword and daggers. I drew my two shortswords. We started fending them off and killing indiscriminantly. We were on an icy slope and surrounded only staving them off due to the ice.
It was then it happened and all my life as i knew it came to an end. I deflected a spear point into another orc and looked at her smiling. We have them on the run. So they’ll flee. She kept slashing away. But then I felt a bump and turned to see her sliding down the black ice. She slid into a band of six orcs who stuck their blades through her. I cried out in anger. The highguard and the navarr foxden arrived in force and pushed back the orcs who scattered i slid down to her as fast as i could. I slid to her lying there and she was still awake. I screamed to illystel for physics now. her eyes were wide open and she smiled seeing me. I begged her to keep her eyes open and stay with me. i held her on my knees comforting her. An orc blade through her chest. She told me this was the navarr way. I begged her not to go. I screamed for a physic again. The blood glistened from her mouth and left a pool of blood upon the snow. I told her it was alright and that in two month we would wed. We would have children in the spring to new life and how they would run in green fields and golden sun. how much i loved her. How our lives would be incredible together. I held her hand and she smiled and closed her eyes. I screamed again and this time two physics of highguard charged over. They began trying to heal her and Illystel pulled me up and away and hugged me trying to stop me from seeing. Eventually the two physics stopped and said they were sorry. My hatred took hold and i began hunting orcs with a passion like the speed of a flame.
Cora Holdfast
Well respected brand of the Navarr. Alongside her role in the Militia Cora Holdfast works closely with the newly formed council of Brands and is perhaps best known for her work gathering facts and stories on the nature of the Vallorn so that the Empire will have better knowledge of the ancient threat.
She was put forward in the Synod as a visionary in Winter 377YE.
Shannow Pathfinder
Shannow was as practical and pragmatic as one would expect of a Navarri Militiaman. While in a tavern in Anvil a citizen illegally drew their weapon on another citizen. Shannow acted swiftly, drawing his own blade and cleaving the citizen’s sword arm from his body. Some may call it a brutal attack, but the severe wound could be healed and many would call it a harsh, but fair, lesson in the laws of the Empire. Weapons are not toys to be waved around, they hurt!
