Hi, very specific question - does anyone have any examples (especially pictures) of clothes/fabrics that are IC dyed with Iridescent Gloaming? Any ideas on how to create an appropriate effect? I thought maybe covering an “ordinary” clothing item with organza for a shimmery effect but suspect this would look terrible.
Thank you.

I’ve seen- metallic embroidery thread, shot fabrics, verigated thread, and stuff similar to what you’ve suggested above all play out as “oh, this old number? Dyed using gloaming”
Hard to really pin in field, mostly as I’ve not played a character/characters who are going to natter fashion
But, if it’s multi-tone via weave or dye job, you’re in a good boat for physrepping fabric dyed with gloaming

For some reason I’m thinking of using iridescent or ultraviolet thread, that’ll have an impressive effect under the right light…
Maybe stitched in using a simple geometric design?

Metallic threads, my beloathed for hand embroidery
Problem of a lot of deliberately UV reactive (outside of white, creams, and an absolutely tiny band of yellows) stuff you can get for embroidery/paint/fabric is that they’re often very modern looking because of the
DMC (embroidery floss company) does a range of “light effect” threads which are any of their metallic, glow in the dark, or UV reactive threads
And the UV reactive ones are all very day glo bright

Thank you! Multi-tone by weave or dye sounds easier (well, not necessarilly easier but less prone to looking terrible) than organza idea.
Thank you both. I was wondering about UV fabrics as well, too bad a lot of them are very modern. Metallic is also an interesting idea.
Could Taylor Swift’s sparkly gold dress be iridescent gloaming?
