Is there a discord for where i can meet people?

Hi, I’m new to the LARP scene and was wondering if there was a discord server or somewhere i can meet people before i attend. (considering joining Dawn if that helps)

any help is appreciated.

There is an unofficial Empire Discord server, you can find it here Empire LRP (unofficial). Just to note that unofficial means that it is not monitored or moderated by PD.

I don’t know if there’s a Dawn specific one, but you might be able to ask in the main one!

There is also a Dawn Facebook group if you’re interested, and of course the sub-forum on here.

Oooooo that is also very helpful thank you, cause i am interested in being a knight errant and would like to ask if any House’s would be interested in a newbie joining as an apprentice.

Marcus, pretty much every House is happy to have new recruits, and a knight errant is almost expected to be wandering around asking questions :slight_smile:

What sort of House are you looking for? A martial one fighting the enemies of the Empire? A magical one based around a coven and grand rituals? A questing one with a dozen different adventures going on? One seeking political (or other) power? All of the above?

It would be good to get Marcus’s character to get the houses bidding for his loyalty, being Dawn a competition to see which is the best house and Marcus’s character could choose - just a fun thought.

haha honestly my first character is gonna be a simple warrior who is committed to the Virtue of Loyalty and is all about forging friendships and such XD

tbh having the drama of 90% of the noble houses out to get me in particular cause i snubbed them would make a hilariously memorable first LARP experience.

You might find that the politics (due to size of Dawn in play) may make this a different sort of prospect

(Especially given that some of the older Houses in play are quite massive as player group side)
