Hi, i turn 18 in a few months and really want to attend the Empire LRP in 2025 hopefully. Ive never done anything like this before and was hoping somebody could help me, i live in a coastal town in east Yorkshire and ive never travelled a long distance by myself before. I dont really have any have any mode of transport so i was wondering if somebody could help me with travel if they pass through east Yorkshire, obviously id help pay money towards gas/petrol ect. Id really appreciate if someone or a group could get in touch with me to help me reach my first larp.

If you’ve chosen Empire for your first LARP (or LRP, it’s interchangable) then you’ve decided to jump in the deep end! But (to overextend the metaphor) the wave machine is off and the lifeguards are watching. 
First of all, good call going for next year. You’ll have plenty of time to sort things out, in costumes, logistics, plans, whatever.
It is entirely possible to get to Empire by public transport, as there’s a train station to which Profound Decisions (PD) runs a coach service.
But if you can find someone to give a lift there and back, that gives you someone to chat to on the way, and a new friend! You can ask about on these forums, and there are also a lot of connections made on this Facebook group:
Second, you’re welcome to ask anything here, but there is also a group for new players which gives plenty of support. You may even find new, newish, or veteran players in your area:
(The FB groups are moderated and friendly)
Third, although it’s a while off, note that you can get several discounts on your tickets for Empire events. Have a check on the website, and ask for the recruitment codes from any veteran player (you both get a discount, so folk like giving them out).
And fourth, have you had a look at things enough to pick out a character idea? A nation to play in? I (or many others) will happily give advice, suggestions, and assistance, on request.
