Does anyone go all out with their monster kit? I have basic monster kit that then has accessories that make up a Thule and Druj monster kit and I’m in the process of making a Grendel and Jotun monster kits. Does anyone else do this?
I kind of want to do a banner for each of the “active” barbarians as well. because I’m OTT. I get my inspiration from the look and feel pages of the wiki
Druj look and feel
Grendel look and feel
Jotun look and feel
I don’t, but my group have mooted the idea and I know a chunk of Varushkans really enjoyed monstering together as a group last event (or possibly the one before). Having a couple of items of clothing for Druj/Grendel/Jotun would be helpful in characterising the different fighting styles when you are monstering.
I’m definitely in favour, even if I haven’t done it!
PD have updated the wiki to include greater guides for monster kit
Jotun look and feel
Grendel look and feel
I like that the Grendel have some explicit Elite units that allow heavy units some leeway, like the Stone Born
Personally I try to have as much fun portraying the ‘Other’ battle character as my PC.
I think if you consider it as an npc role rAther than monstering it helps… and why wouldn’t you want other players to have an awesome e experience?
E3 Last year was my first PD game after a 15 year LARP gap, and one of the most powerful memories I hAve is standing inside the fort, surrounded by fellow orcs, watching an archer unit volley fire over the wall into the players outside and thinking… fucking he’ll - this is like helms deep!
