New Brass Coast Players starting at E2!

Hey folks,

So myself and a few others are attending E2 as our first Empire and our first LRP experience! We’ve chosen the Brass Coast as our nation and are at various points of having our initial looks coming together in time (some will definitely be rougher than others haha).

We have a friend who has been attending for years and is in Navarr, so have had some great tips already (plus a lot of reading the wiki!) but any further tips are always welcome.

Primarily just dropping a post to say hi and look forward to finally seeing what it’s like in Anvil in person! I’ve heard a lot

For context (and in case something sounds terrible):

My character is a Naga Dhomiro of a family that fell apart, they dropped out of the Militia because they didn’t like the structure, found purpose in following the Way (mostly Vigilance) and have some magician skills. Following the Freeborn vibe of ‘show don’t tell’ when it comes to virtues I’m kinda going with a setting-appropriate Private Eye Priest whose congregation are locals in Lucksprings who they help (for a price, usually).

I’m aware backstory is less important than what you do so most of this is just to give me a push.

I’ve avoided Sutannir as arranging parties as a new player sounded daunting!

Anyway, long ramble aside I’m excited to attend my first event and meet new people

Firstly, welcome along, to the hobby, the game and the forums!

If you’re making E2 your first LARP, you’re jumping in at the deep end! But to extend the metaphor, the wave machine is off and the life-guards are watching

Have you found the Facebook page for the Brass Coast? Or for Naga, if you have any queries there?

I can reccomend the new player workshops on Friday, if you can get there in time.

That said, come along and join the game, and I hope you have a great time!

I’ve joined the BC Facebook group (I don’t use FB much ) but I’ll look up the Naga one too!

Thanks for the warm welcome  a couple of us should be there in-time on Friday to take part in the workshops!
