So my military unit could compose of people who were Caravan guards who are coming back to help reclaim the Mourn?
Quite excited to have a chance to help out. Marches seemed like the best nation to get involved with.

I echo peppingford’s comment of seeing if you can borrow one for a battle to try it out as pole weapons are something of an investment. I’ve got a lovely one from Tallows (now Craeftigan) but its worth working out if you like fighting with one 
.
Couple of extra points that dawned on me.
The common adage is different lengths of polearm work for different events, normally I believe 7 feet is the optimum for bill line, however 6 feet is optimum for skirmishing… I’ve seen a few Marchers get in sticky situations with the longer length at sanctioned events. Hence reiterate try out, and ask in the field. Also always remember to carry a spare sword… or four.
Another thing is… when monstering try various combos out, I found out a staff was not for me etc this way.
As for transport… wrapping in a duvet and going lengthways down the car is recommended, certainly something I’ll be trying out when I pick one up.
As for MU being Caravan Guards… excellent idea. Makes sense as well, you could even pencil them in as a more logistics based unit helping supply/maint of other units in the field if you wished.
Thanks. I will make them logistical. I feel I have a good grasp on character now. I will try and use some pole arms this event and hopefully get one if o like it
