I’m looking to buy my own orc mask this long dark and wondered how people added hair to their own masks. Whether it is a creator who takes commissions, or if it’s a DIY job, I’m interested to hear about it.
Are you planning to get a full-head latex version like imperial orc players wear, or a monstering style one with the fabric back?
With the full one, fake hair can be stitched through. To wear the hair loose, small clumps looped through in a U shape so both ends are coming out the scalp are more resilient and (away from the hairline) fan out well enough across the scalp that it’s not obvious. Hairline needs just a few strands per stitching if you want it looking realistic in my opinion.
I got myself a monstering one at e4 with the same thought as you. Thinking I might hack up a cheap wig and sew the edges on, as a first go. But no idea if it’ll be any good!
