Evening! I’m looking for some pictures for the wiki. Specifically, I need something to populate https://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/The_Marches_look_and_feel#Weaponry
I need pictures from the game of:
- People wielding iconic Marcher melee weapons (polearms, poleaxes, greatswords, great hammers) and longbows
- People in gambesons or leather, especially plate hanress, and maybe brigandine. I’ll also take jack chains over a gambeson if we have some
- People in mage armour, ideally incorporating either livery or with a strong landskeeper look
- Some bucklers
To be considered, I’d need:
- a link
- to know the name of the photographer, with permission to use the photo if they are not Beth, Tom Garnett, or Oliver Facey
- an idea of who is in it - ideally OOC names as I can use them to find IC names
- it to be a “good photo” - I have no criteria but mostly it means no beer cans, plastic tents, and everyone in it looking moody (that last one is not mandatory)
I’ll check this again in a day or three and would appreciate if someone could share the link to this post around.
These two pictures are done by Beth Dooner. They are off Watt Lambrook (Me, Harry Barone). I’d say the mage armour here is a prime example of how easy making a hearth magic-appropriate phys rep can be as me and my fellow group member literally got some old bits of gambeson, stuck ribbons on it, and painted it.

Ones that spring to mind from my sets:
Redirecting... - Many pole arms being carried and shows of a house.
Redirecting... - Heavy Armour
Will Talbot from player event - Redirecting... (general, imo strongest photo) or Redirecting... (holding bow) or Redirecting... (using bow but untidier photo) or Redirecting... (helmet)
Redirecting... - fighting block
Redirecting... - excellent kit and visible weapons
Redirecting... - bows
Redirecting... - variety of weapons and kit
Redirecting... - already on the wiki so will need relinking (file name is ‘war’ i think) but sashes and war face.

Redirecting... - gambeson + bow
Redirecting... - not tagged but person in photo commented.

From Tom’s, as these were ones that sprang to mind as I was going through mine (although I’m aware a few of his from these battles are up already)
Redirecting... - bit more of a flavour shot but has a lot of great kit and weapons
Redirecting... - same as above but it’s actually in battle
Redirecting... - bow in use (was legit looking for this shot)
An image of Sam Balston, steward of house Balston in an irregular get up (for him) of polearm and lighter armour than usual with breastplate under livery. Photo by Beth dooner. Good example of marcher helmet
and weapon.
Chain and recurve bow rather than light leathers and long bow, but Id suggest this is more typical in battles
Photo is by Tom Garnett

Character above: Robert Hawcombe (Player Rhys Lewis)
showing the more Heavier armored Billman. This could be due to House being of relative affluence. wielding a Bill hook, arming sword and if times do get truly desperate, a Bollock dagger.
Chains around neck to show his Status as a Priest of Loyalty that takes the Field.

Ahem. Sorry it took nearly five months but I am finally working my way through these pictures. Better late than never, as they say in Hay.
