Photographers and the social contract at LRP

Matt coined this idea of a social contract for raising standards at LRP. I blogged about why I see photographers as fitting into that social contract too. I’m not going to repost it all here as it’s hugely long, but you can take a little look here:

Very interesting! I do a bit of photography and video work (I’d like to think I’m not that guy, i’m actually studying it at uni) and was wondering how to tactfully not annoy folk at larp events. I’ve done raves and they THROW themselves at you but a nice black hightech camera seems a little out of place at a larp event  I’d love to film one but it is the kiss of death to any spontaneous situation. Also rave organisers just want facebook likes, they don’t much care about quality over quantity.

Utterly agree with you view on what shots matter, though it never hurts to give the boss a few for advertising, keeps them happy (keeps the beer free)

Its so hard to get good photos when chaos is erupting all around you, i’ve actually gone through a bunch of your stuff to get the theme right and have been very impressed. Thanks for posting the article here!
