“It should have been a simple diplomatic mission. The Compostela was bound for the Assavean Archipelago, carrying its ambassador and a number of Imperial dignitaries. But when the ship is becalmed miles from shore and shrouded in fog, the crew quickly realises that this voyage will not be plain sailing. “

Shadows In the Deep is player event focusing on horror and investigation themes. It features a 24 hr. time-in and a claustrophobic atmosphere aboard a becalmed ship.

No firm date or location yet as we need to see how much interest their is to decide on the venue.

This will be an indoor, catered event, taking place most likely in a hostel rented in entirety, decorated in a nautical theme.

This event has priority for Freeborn players, but is open to all.

Final venue will depend on how much interest we have, but we are looking to run it in the Oxfordshire region.

If you are interested please put yourself down as interested on the Facebook event:

A player event in Miekarova

"It is winter in Varushka.

But though the wolves roam, there is hope. Razor’s Wake is rebuilding and the Wardens of the Howling Pines protect it all the while. For nearly a year now we have been able to travel to Anvil, where we help the Empire to rebuild too.
We all struggle, but we have achieved much.

As Varushkans and as pilgrims of Prosperity it is important to us that we be hospitable, generous and welcoming. And while we have it, we must enjoy our prosperity. Things are going well for Varushka- We have reclaimed Karsk from our enemies, we rebuild and grow, going from strength to strength. What better reason is there to celebrate?

Except, of course, Mina’s birthday.
Traditionally we celebrate birthdays with gifts but we do not hoard them. We would see all prosper, so anyone who brings a gift to the celebration will receive one in turn.

But it is winter still.
So bring axes."

12th February - 14th February
(Time in from 7pm - 12pm Friday, 10am-late Saturday)
Dinner on Friday and Saturday and Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday and Sunday are catered.
Tickets are £40 for player spaces and food tickets for crew are £15
Child friendly with DBS checked crew for activities. If you are booking for a child, please let us know.
Sanctioning is being applied for, this is a combat and social event but it will have activities for children - singing, story telling, scavenger hunt etc. (for child places, please contact organiser)
Booking open for Varushkans and Crew open now and other nations on 28th September.

[Not my event, just an excited player.]

The Fields of the Cloth of Gold (Featherstone Castle, Haltwhistle)

There comes the hour when even the joy of battle pales; when conquest and war lose their urgency, and the Nobles of Dawn and their households take their well deserved rest before the call to the field comes once more. The wine flows, the feast begins, and the troubadours bring their stories of valour and virtue for all to hear – for only in the telling of their tales do the Glorious Heroes of the Empire become immortal.

Earl Bohemond of House de Rondelle and Earl D’eon Novarrion extend an invitation to the nobles and yeofolk of Dawn, and to friends of other nations, to the Grand Tourney and Feast to celebrate the coming marriage of Lady Isabella Novarion (soon to be de Rondelle) and Uther the Tower of House de Rondelle.

Prizes will be awarded to the victors in might of arms, and for the yeofolk in games of skill and wits. All those who wish to be Tested -whether their Mettle or their Ardour – are invited to seek out a new challenge at this time of beginnings and new undertakings. The great and good of the nation will after all be present to bear witness.

(OOC) This event is aimed at Dawnish characters and friends of the nation. The current plan is for an OOC social on the Friday (Though this may be open to change depending on the preference of the attendees) with time in at 10am Saturday until time out at 2am Sunday. The cost will be £70 per person for the weekend and covers full catering and non alcoholic refreshments throughout all accommodation is included within as such we expect a Maximum of 100 attendees to be possible.

Edit: I will not open booking just for a few days until I finally confirm the cost but that will be by Monday 28/09/15 at the latest.

As the days grow shorter, the night sky of Skarsind comes alive with Bjarta’s Light. Some say this light is the door through which Winter slips into the world. Some say that on this day, if the winter is not met with light and noise and good cheer, it will never leave. Join us as we show show Winter - and Skarsind’s new Orcish guardians - the hospitality of the Mark.

The Secret of Mourning Hollow
February 26th-28th
Huntley Wood

Only 8 places left - open to all!

"Dear Citizen,

There has as you know Mourning Hollow has long been a place that has not only hung over Hercynia as a dark cloud, but also over the relationship between Varushka and Navarr.

The recent upheaval and activity around the place has become a more troublesome and concerning. Certainly now that ghosts from this blighted place have turned up in Anvil it has become very apparent that action needs to be taken to investigate this place; and indeed have the courage and ambition to lay those apparitions to rest.

After successfully working along side my colleague and good friend the senator for Miekova, I have asked for a joint quest from people of both Varushka and Navarr to go to Mourning Hallow to deal with these troubles as I feel not only will it bring the insight and skills to complete the task at hand, but also allow greater understanding between our two cultures.

It fills me with great pride that many have chosen to step forward, and that with ambition and determination one of the last blights in Hercynia will be dealt with before my tenure as senator ends.

Yours with loyalty and pride

Rhain ‘Bloody Trees’ Y’Basden (ex-winters vigil), "

Halfwinter is the day on which Holberg knows that its stores will last until the Spring thaw - even if the city were to be snowed in and the trods all but impassable. During the long years of the siege, sometimes this day never came. This year, the trods are open; no besieging army lies at the gate; and thus we celebrate the Turn of Halfwinter.

Lisabetta Giacomi von Holberg, Conscience of the Senate and Merchant Prince of the House of Seven Mirrors, invites her friends and citizens of the Empire to attend another evening of political discussion, music and conviviality - with one hour of discussion to be held under the ‘Rule of Seven Mirrors’:
Those meeting can speak of what they learn, but must not reveal the identity of the speaker, nor their loyalties and affiliations, save under question by a Magistrate or under Synod Inquisition.

Hi All

Sanctioned event running from 11th-13th March 2016.

Facebook page: facebook.com/events/203797913290621/

You can contact me through facebook or at my email address tom_vero@hotmail.com if you have any questions - hopefully the below will answer most questions!

The Grendel swept into the empire and brought with them pain and suffering. The Empire will not stand by and let its lands be sullied by barbarian feet. The Empire has mobilised its finest to push back the Grendel and re take Spiral.

Some say that in the Grendel invasion of spiral a wagon train of the imperial mint was caught and overrun and that the wealth is laying there to be claimed, some whisper that it was a magical item of considerable worth, or perhaps a traders convoy from foreign lands or maybe an imperial arms train. The rumours fly thick and fast. other embellishments can sometimes be heard, glowing lights mark the spot, disappearances. But some elements of the story always remain the same, the location is in spiral, in the vicinity of a staging outpost and trade camp set up in the wake of Imperial armies campaigning against the Grendel, unfortunately, it’s fairly close to the front line and it’s likely to be dangerous.

Set at an imperial trading post set up in support of imperial armies operating in the area which has come under threat from Grendel raiding parties. I hope to run two skirmishes which simulate Grendel war parties looking to hurt imperial supply lines and four quests, of course, you will have to find out about them yourselves.

This is a sanctioned event.

The main skirmishes will use a system a little like the empire main battles, players will play one and monster one. SO please bring monster kit. (This may be subject to change)
