**Pre-orders for Collected Pledge book**

We are ready to go to print on the Collected Pledges! This 320 page book includes all back issues of The Pledge and The Edge with forewords and postscripts from members of The Printers’ Guild. It will a hardback book bound in gold buckram (completely IC looking), with a gold ribbon to mark your place.

For newer Empire attendees who aren’t aware of The Pledge, I will add more background detail below. For those who know, love and miss us, feel free to add your own opinions – good or ill!

There is an OC cost to producing it so I am asking for pre-orders at £20 each. We will have a few for sale in the field (OC cost will still apply) but this will be extremely limited. To guarantee getting one, please contact me before the end of August.

IC, it is a valuable piece of Imperial history (the biased and proud editor writes!) and there will be an IC cost. If you want one OC, we will find an acceptable IC cost (as a Leaguer I am into money, favours and skills exchange) - we are planning bundle options and deal sweeteners for those willing to pay 5 Thrones cash!

The price is both the OC and IC cost. I’d prefer not to sell solely OC as our game is making deals - will make exceptions for crew who don’t have IC resources.

If you are interested, please drop me a message on here or on facebook and we’ll arrange details. I will be placing the order on 31 August to ensure it’s delivered in time for E4.

A little background on The Pledge:
The Pledge newspaper ran from the very beginning of the game. The style is lively tabloid paper of the people, holding a mirror up to the establishment and taking a close look. We aimed for the sweet spot of truth and entertainment - we have been called out on inaccuracies and everyone reading the collected edition should know that Senator Bridget (as was) entertained several strippers, not just one as we reported! Our satirical cartoons are excellent - made even better by our artist preferring to draw animals rather than humans and each nation therefore having to be assigned an animal (League fat cats are my personal favourite). The articles covered all the arenas of power as well as society events. We conducted surveys and published the analysis, and we got specialists to comment on their areas of expertise. The Printers’ Guild received compliments, curses, punches, complaints and rough music for our efforts, and we loved every second of it!
