Hi,
I’m looking for a little help. Just starting to look at creating a character (looking to attend Winter solstice in April 24) and I’m loving Dawn and Weirwater in particular. However the recent history is missing from the wiki. Anyone able to give me a link or brief lowdown would be much appreciated!!

A strange shambling army of zombies wandered through from Varushka a year or two later. After months of aimless shambling around (we were busy, okay!) they staggered over the border into Semmerholm, went nuts, and started attacking everything.
Most recently there have been issues on the east end of Wierwater, with the Semmerlak. Something lives in the depths, has been right narked off, and has been dragging down ships. More details available, but this could be fun to discuss in play…

That is great info and just what I needed. I’m fleshing out details of my characters more recent back story/motivations and wanted to try to root it in recent/current game events as much as poss (I’m already all over the WoW and WoF on the wiki and have had a look in the Dawn FB group but yet to jump in there). I’d absolutely love to discuss in play, only small detail I’d love is; are the ship sinking’s a very recent/ongoing thing? I am looking for a way or two for her to have lost almost everything as I come into the game (I am hopefully bringing my partner but we won’t know anyone so going for an “all alone in the world and just my virtue to drive me on to GLORY” kind of vibe), was being courted by a knight errant, beginning to think about marriage with who she believed was her true love and was preparing to set out from her home village to seek her own path to nobility and glory so that there could be no barriers to their love. Then almost her entire family was wiped out on the Sydathian Fens (father, sister and sisters husband). Shortly after her sweetheart is also killed but I didn’t want him to have been lost in the same way as her family so that I’d have a couple of IC things i felt particularly strongly about and then see where the RP takes me. So I’m thinking her love could have been set his ToM to find out the cause and stop the sinking’s but he died in the attempt?
Weirwater has also recently had its first ever great work built in it under Earl Baldwin of House Castellan, Giritanes Gaze, a giant owlbear statue in honour of one nice geezer with some slight drama around it.
