I’ll be new to Anvil next week and looking to sell a copy of my book ‘A catalogue of the properties and deeds of the Legendary Exemplars’, It’s leather bound and has 280 A5 aged pages.
But I have no idea what I should be selling it for. Do you think people would be interested and if so what kind of value might it have?
Any advice would be welcome.

Welcome along Hawker!
That looks… awesome.
I suspect that several people and groups will be interested. You may do best selling it to a particularly faithful group, or indeed to the library. I suspect you may be able to ask several Thrones for it. It’s an almost unique piece of work, looks great… and thus should command a substantial price.
More than that… you’ll have to explore in play.

Getting one of the auction houses to auction it might be an idea, or perhaps they might be able to help value it. As I honestly don’t know how much a luxury item like that might go for IC.

Discussion of exactly how much you should charge isn’t appropriate here, but The Apothecary’s Handbook seems similar and was advertised on Facebook for £20 or 10 crowns. Preorders for E2 have sold out.
N.B. I am not associated with it.
Thanks, i’m just looking for a ball park guide so I don’t massively undersell it or make myself look ridiculous by asking for far too much. Your advice on the Apothecary’s handbook is really helpful.
That is so cool!
The rule of thumb I use for buying things is: rings is consumables (simple food and drink, pocket money trinkets you wouldn’t mind losing), crowns is material goods (pamphlets, jewellery, small goods and accessories like pouches, gloves, toys), thrones is luxuries (full bottles of alcohol, actual garments, armour or weapons, unique items).
By that rule, I’d put your book in the very high crowns and into the throne(s) for the right buyer. Which is not me, because my character isn’t that devout and doesn’t have that much money
But if I were looking to sell it, I’d be showing it round the larger, wealthier groups in every nation, starting with Highguard and the League, then probably the Brass Coast, with a focus on auction houses, of which I believe there are a couple.
