Test Of Mettle Ideas

I’m new to Empire and Larp, E1 was my first time.
I decided to be Dawn but I’m not sure what my Test of Mettle for my house. Does anyone have any ideas?

hooo boy, big topic

IC: The Test of Mettle is set by your House, by the Earl of the House. It’s got to be tough. It can be VERY tough. It should not be impossible. Some houses have a theme, to which they set their tests. House Carsenere, with their chimerae symbol, sets tests in three parts. House Rylas tradtionally set tests with Dire Boars. House Drommond usually had tests at sea. And so on.

OOC: A Test of Mettle should be arranged with the Earls player and maybe the other players. If it’s something you’ve accomplished “off-stage”, everyone should know of it. “Oh yeah I saw Lord Cromwells Test, it was awesome!”
If it’s something you’re doing in play, it should be something that’s fun to play out.
“Gather a Favour from every nation on the field” is fun.
“Ask 3 score of Dawn for the meaning of Love and Glory and bring me your understanding” produces a lot of game and interesting discussion.
“Kill 200 orcs while fighting at my side” is going to be long, gruelling, and likely pall fairly quickly…

Are you playing solo with an off-screen House? If so, what fits your character?
If you are playing with a House on the field, what fits THEIR theme AND your character?
(no point giving the magical Test to the Knight, or the Physicks test to the Mage…)

How would you describe your character, and how would they describe themselves?

I’m happy to give suggestions, but the Tests are tailored to the characters and circumstances…
