Say a young League Briar socialite were to decide to go backpacking around the Marches for a few months after getting itchy feet. What kind of interesting things & people might they run into on their travels and then be able to talk non-stop about at the next annual to their family? (Think Uni student on their gap yaah off to travel round ‘quaint’ rural countries)
If not clear, I’m interested in hearing snippets from people about the Marches & its inhabitants that I’d have seen in downtime so I can then at the event go “Oh my, that reminds me when I was in Upwold travelling…” or “I know you lot, think I saw a performance of yours at Meade”
Briar League?
You should have at least one “Slaughtered Lamb” incident from American Werewolf in London where everyone in the place falls quiet and claims they have no cheese left then stare at you until you go away

That’d be pretty much the entirety of Mitwold
Head north and take a walk along the long border between Marches and Wintermark.
It has long hard-to-cross hills and trees and very few gateways up to Wintermark.
Along the Marches are huge flowing meadows and glades.
(Ask a Marcher for more details of the northern border and other parts of the area)
