I’m planning on making a new coat for E1 next year to replace my emergency eBay purchase last year.
What have other people got on their To Do lists?

I plan to add some fur trim and embroidery to my coat, add some embroidery to my shirts, get some leg wraps, and some armour, maybe some lamellar (already got chainmail sorted). I also want to make a journal with the laws and the Constitution written down, because I’m boring and like the idea.
I once amused some civil servants by borrowing (and returning) their copy of the constitution and actually reading the thing from cover to cover. Totally not boring to me. ![]()
Kit & background for my .2. No plans to kill Isca off yet, but I’d rather not have to make a new character in a hurry.
Leg armour and I’m thinking of making a new Suaq coat (a leather one, maybe a sort of suaq arming coat)
I keep on meaning to have a .3 floating around just in case. Still haven’t got around to it.
Look forward to pictures. ![]()
I have a lovely IC notebook with a clasp that needs some content so I’m planning to have a go at pulling together a guide to the Way culled from the Wiki along with information about foreign nations and other useful bits and pieces.
And my armour with it’s rust patches is currently sitting in its box waiting for me to attack it with special tools, so I should get on with that at some point over xmas
.
repair my chainmail and then adding copper plates too it for decoration and extending it further as if it wasn’t heavy enough. along with bying replacements for worn out kit.
Rusted armour? Say it ain’t so! ![]()
Oooh, shiny copper sounds gorgeous.
Sorting out kit for the .2 also. No intention of the character dying any time soon. But… You know..
Isca is being allowed to ‘repair’ her cariad’s robes, where by repair I mean horribly mutilate. If you see an unfortunate Urizeni wandering around covered in patches and practicality, this is probably my handiwork ![]()
New scabbards for my daggers.
Some other nice looking armour decor.
Some bits for the IC auction

Making a pipe-organ so someone can play accompaniment while I play violin.
(I’ll probably make the organ to play automatically from punched paper rolls to begin with, then give it a keyboard later. Those ingenious Holberg artisans…)
A signet-ring for sealing letters/documents.
Along with other members of the theatre troupe, getting some more plays lined up.
Arranging to get the tent overhauled, and maybe fitting one of those things for a stovepipe to go through (if I get a stove).

Nearly finished a new woollen hood with liripipe, toasty warm!
Also making a wool lined, taffeta faced Houpelande… all in autumnal colours, looks lush and isn’t finished yet, but I’ve a Dawnish wedding to attend in January so need to get a wiggle on!
Oh those sound gorgeous! I love stuff in Autumn colours.
Fixing and tailoring my mail. The work never ends. I’m also considering acquiring/making a coat of plates, because clearly head-to-toe mail and a helmet isn’t enough weight.
Also might try to put together an IC bedroll and test if I can sleep outside in it. This will save greatly on weight, give me more options and, most importantly, allow me to call everyone else a softie for using a tent ![]()
Got hold of a load of black Bison leather a few months ago, so been making scabbards for knives, swords, a flintlock holster (not Empire!) and stuff.
thinking about some big bucket top type boot covers, but on the Dawn side, I’m going to a player event in January (a big wedding) and so busy making costume for me, my wife and the two youngest for that - a huge, wool lined and taffeta faced Houpellande for me and an extra large Chaperon (medieval hood turned hat thing)!
woollen cloaks all with sheepskin shoulders (a la Game of Thrones Northmen style)
doublets with partihose, and big Dawnish frocks for the girls !
Cor, nothing like a deadline to come up with complex projects! Excellent!
