Is it a lantern specifically you want or just IC lights you can get flame flickering lanterns from Amazon such as
LED Flickering Lanterns Flame Effect Lantern Outdoor Hanging Lamps Decorations Indoor Retro Floor Light Battery Operated with Remote Control (2 Pieces) Amazon.co.uk
Which can be turned white to light up brighter for OOC reasons or you can get oil lamp style
Retro Kerosene Lamp Led Desk Lamp Flameless LED Kerosene Lamp, Electric Vintage Bedroom Kerosene Lamp, Table Plastic Kerosene Lamp, Wedding Kerosene Lamp, Bronze Home Decor Amazon.co.uk
Or there is a good build video on YouTube for IC torch here
I’ve been investigating Light stones as a way of having an IC light available.
They’re specifically mentioned on the Wiki as being a way of using LED lights and the phys rep is described as a globe no greater than a couple of inches in diameter.
To that end I’ve purchased an Olight o-bulb mini (not being paid to advertise them) which will run 3 hours bright enough to light a mid sized room and 55 hours bright enough to read by. It’ll also do red light for 7 hours and that has been mentioned as useful for not mucking up other people’s night vision (red light is Ok according to wiki).
The plan is to make a geode style base to cover the base of the light (which looks OC) out of resin cast in an air-drying clay mould.
l’ll let you know how it goes.
I decided to use a ball pool ball as the mould in the end as it is easier to release and gives a cast that doesn’t make the overall light too big.
I used resin and Iron oxide to give it a bit of a glint (which doesn’t come over in the photo at all). It all fits nicely in a small pouch and covers the switches and branding. Gluing the metal plate that came with the lamp into the base means that it clips and stays together.
