@AnthonyHJ, thank you. Is the Academy good? Those multi-coloured drinks sound very suspicious.

@AnthonyHJ, thank you. Is the Academy good? Those multi-coloured drinks sound very suspicious.

@Lavender The Academy is good for my daughter, with lessons in many subjects and there was a fair amount of kid-safe sparring with ‘wooden’ weapons.
As to the drinks, I assure you the ones I tried were extremely virtuous…
Attempting to drink at every bar in Anvil is not easy. So many drinks, so little time.
Those coloured drinks were so magnificent that the entire Freeborn Broken Wheel ‘Paragon’ tour stopped and the egregore bought a round in, and proceeded to advertise them for the rest of the trip.
Other bars have their own awesome things but coloured drinks were the perfect Freeborn-trap at that moment.
@AnthonyHJ, @Laura, thank you. Has anyone made a thread on all the different bars (and/or IC eateries) at Anvil? That would be very useful information for us newbies.
Thank you for replying to my question and elaborating on the answer. I’m also after a list of all the newspapers published at Anvil, if one exists and there are not too many to count. A list of pamphlets would be useful as well. Thank you for all the help.

List of pamphlets is probably not possible. The library has boxes of them to start with, and people often do small print runs. Although if you want to set that as a project fro your character it could be an interesting job, and would be a good excuse for going around all the nations.
newspapers:
The pledge
The oathwright
Thrifty Squid (mostly resource prices and adverts)
The Looking glass (fashion magazine)
Think that’s all the ones put out on a regular basis.
Can’t answer as to bars for all nations.
Highguard doesn’t currently have one (Nissed Pewt got too popular and became a headache for the guy running it), but there are a couple of groups who sometimes sell some drinks. Try the Shattered Tower.
From memory there are at least two bars in the League, one in Urizen, one in Wintermark (Artisan’s Arms) but I can’t for the life of me remember the names.
Food wise there’s the Artisan’s Arms in Wintermark, but I don’t know of any other eateries this year.
Tea houses I think there’s one in Navarr, one in Urizen (Sentinel’s Repose?) and at least one in the Brass Coast.
The Applewood Arms in marchers does a good cheese board if its running
slaps self How could I forget them and Mandowla’s Arms in the Marches as well, oddly enough I believe they do something of a cheese board too
@CharlieP, thank you for the list and explanation.
Are all 4 newspapers from The League, or do other nations publish as well?
@Mark_Wilkin, @Mr_Haystacks, thank you! The list of drinking places at Anvil would be (so far):
The Brass Coast:
Teahouse1 (name unknown)
Dawn:
nil
Highguard:
The Shattered Tower (may serve drinks, not a bar)
Imperial Orcs:
nil
The League:
Bar 1 (name unknown)
Bar 2 (name unknown)
I suspect one of these would be the aforementioned Peacock’s Tail, with the multicoloured drinks.
The Marches:
Bar: Applewood Arms (does a good cheese board)
Bar: Mandowla’s Arms (also does a cheese board)
Navarr:
Teahouse 1 (name unknown)
Urizen:
Bar 1 (name unknown)
Teahouse1 (Sentinel’s Repose?)
Varushka:
nil
Wintermark:
Bar: The Artisan’s Arms (also serves food)
I have seen mentions of apple crisps and pork crackling somewhere, but I can’t find it again to put it on the list.
Maybe I need to do a detailed investigation of all the bars and tea-houses at Anvils, and then publish my results as “Be of Good Cheer: A Guide to Eating and Drinking at Anvil” - although I suspect word of mouth would be of more interest to most people.
Thank you for helping me my answering my questions. I appreciate it.

The bar in urizen is called endsmead, they also hold a poker tournament as well as do a lot of trading from there on a large scale. As well as other special events and gatherings. It has an element of feeling like some kind of mafia bar with a secluded room in the back etc. It’s fairly well priced.
The Temeshbar in the League, the Hammer in Urizen, and while I know there’s one in Dawn, I can never remember it’s name.
Which nation does the Looking Glass?
The teahouse in the Brass Coast is likely the New Promise Cartel Teahouse. There is also a bar called the Brazen Parador, and well as a non-alcoholic juice-bar called the Krakentooth (though it is currently suffering logistical issues so unlikely to exist for the next few events).
The main cabal who write and publish the Looking Glass are from the League but there are contributors from other nations too. If you ask around in the League IC you should find them reasonably easily.
@Phoenix, @Geoffrey_Willoughby, @Beeswax, Thank you for your help.
I have amended the list with your contributions as per below:

If anyone knows of any other places to drink, or knows of any specialities of the above places, please let me know. Thank you!

P.S. I’m not sure if the posts on bars should be split off into a separate topic - if the mods think so, then please feel free to implement this.
Correction it’s endsmeet spire. Which encompasses the sentinels repose tea house 12-20. Then house of rings and the hammer casino bar 21 - 01.

Bitterbark is the Navarr tea house. I believe Bronwen’s Rest also do food.
